Here’s what you’ll need to have handy:
1. Your Social Security Number and
2. A U.S. government-issued photo ID (e.g. Driver’s License, Passport, State or Military ID)

Please note: we are unable to open accounts for individuals under the age of 18 through our online application. This includes minor children. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please stop by one of our locations to open a minor account.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask for your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

Share Savings (Required)

A Share Savings account requires a $5 minimum opening deposit that the credit union will fund. No minimum balance or monthly service fee charged. Dividends are calculated daily and paid monthly. Rate may change after the account is opened.

ATM Card (Not available for Checking Accounts):

MakeCents Checking Account

The MakeCents Checking is a FREE checking account that gives you the opportunity to earn five cents each time you make a purchase with your debit card. While other financial institutions may only reward you for leaving money in your account and charge you fees for using it, at NUFCU we reward members for using their account. Because that just makes cents. There are no minimum balance requirements and accounts with over $1000 on deposit earn interest. Visit our checking page to learn more.
