‘Tis the season. It’s time for friends and family, for food and celebrations, for shopping and . . . fraud. Unfortunately, the hustle and bustle of the holidays provides the perfect opportunity for card fraud to occur. The University of Nebraska FCU has procedures in place to assist in reducing and preventing fraudulent activity. Our Fraud Center is gearing up for the holiday season and will take into consideration the changes in a cardholder’s spending patterns during this time of year. Please be aware, though, that you might be contacted by the Fraud Center to verify specific purchases. This is the perfect time to make sure the credit union has up-to-date contact information on file in case the Fraud Center does need to send a text, email, or auto-dialer phone call.
