Enfact Fraud Security

The University of Nebraska FCU uses a third party vendor to monitor for possible fraud using the Enfact Fraud Detection System. Enfact uses the most advanced neural network technology to examine real-time, incoming credit and debit authorizations for potential fraud. Using transaction, payment and other variables, in addition to “learned” individual cardholder behavior patterns, Enfact analyzes each authorization to determine the likelihood of fraudulent activity.

Here's What Happens
  • If potential fraud is detected, you will receive an email from the University of Nebraska FCU notifying you of the potentially fraudulent charges. Emails are sent 24/7.  You will be directed to call an automated voice response number.
  • During the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. your time, the email will be followed within one minute with an SMS text message and if no response is received in 15 minutes, you will receive an automated phone call. Two attempts will be made for each phone number connected to your account, 15 minutes apart.
  • If you are unable to complete the response thru the automated response system or fraud is confirmed, you will be provided a toll-free number to contact the fraud center and speak with an analyst. Or, you can contact the credit union directly, during regular business hours, to resolve.

Remember - our message will never ask for a PIN or account number or your online banking credentials.
