Balance Transfers Using Digital Banking
If you have a high rate credit card or store card, now is the time to transfer that balance to a low rate card from NUFCU. Transferring a balance is easy through our online banking product. Essentially you will transfer the money from your credit card to your checking account. NUFCU doesn't charge a balance transfer fee and we offer the same low rate for a cash advance and a purchase. Once you have transferred the necessary money to your checking account, you just need to either send a check to your credit card to pay the balance or use our bill pay to make the payment. Using Online Banking or our Mobile app, select Make a Transfer.
- Select your Credit Card as the "From" account
- Select your Checking Account as the "To" account
- Edit the amount you want to transfer
- Click on "Make Transfer"
Balance Transfers Using a Visa Convenience Check
At your request we will provide you with a Visa convenience check as a way to access your credit line without swiping your card. We have no additional fees or interest rates when you use the Visa check. This is a convenient way to pay off high rate credit cards or department store cards. Those balances can be brought over to NUFCU and potentially be charged at a lower rate. Click here to request a check.
