If you have our iPhone or Android app, you'll have access to mobile deposit. This new feature allows you, as a mobile user, to deposit checks into your University of Nebraska FCU accounts using the camera on your smartphone.
Simply take a picture of your check using the camera feature within our app, submit the dollar amount and your check will be automatically submitted for deposit. No need to send in the check - we recommend securely storing the deposited check for 60 days before destroying it.

How to Make a Deposit
Log in to the University of Nebraska FCU App on your phone to deposit a check in just a few easy steps!
- Sign the check and write "for mobile deposit only" *
- Choose the destination account
- Enter check amount
- Take photos of the signed check (front & back)
- Tap the "Deposit Check" button
Items submitted are reviewed for accuracy before posting to your account.
After You Deposit
- You will receive an email notification when your check has posted.
- If your check cannot be posted for some reason, we may ask you to submit the check again. Do so only if requested.
- Once you have received a confirmation email that the check has posted, write POSTED and the date across the top half of the face of the check.
- Keep your check for 60 days after it has posted to your account.

Frequently Asked Questions
What devices support mobile deposit?
Mobile deposit for iPhone requires version iOS 5.0 or better. Mobile deposit for Android requires version 4.0 or better, a 5 mega pixel camera or better, and a camera that will auto focus.
What are the fees for mobile deposit?
There are currently no costs to deposit checks through mobile deposit.
What are the limits?
The maximum daily deposit limit is $2,500, limited to 10 items per month for a maximum cumulative monthly deposit limit of $7,500.
How do I know my limits?
If you exceed the limit, mobile deposit will notify you that the transaction cannot be completed.
When will my deposit be credited to my account?
In general, mobile deposits received on a business day by 3:30 p.m. CT will be credited the same day. Mobile deposits received on Saturdays, Sundays, federal holidays, or received after 3:30 p.m. CT on a business day will be credited the next business day.
How should I sign the check?
Using a dark pen sign your name and write "For Mobile Deposit Only" in the space provided on the back of the check.
What happens if I forget to sign the check?
Unsigned and/or missing the endorsement "for mobile deposit only" checks will be rejected. After the item is rejected, you can endorse the check and deposit it again through mobile deposit.
What do I do with my check after depositing through mobile?
Once you have confirmed the deposited funds have been credited to your account, we recommend that you write "Posted" and the date the check posted to your account. We also recommend securely storing the check for 60 days before destroying it.
Will I receive an email or text confirming the receipt of the deposit?
Yes, you will receive a notice to the email address you set up on the mobile deposit page. If you do not want to receive a notice, go to Settings, scroll down to the app and set your preference. You may change your email address at any time on the mobile deposit page.
*New laws have passed. Beginning June 1, 2018 the credit union will reject any mobile deposit check that does not have the words "For Mobile Deposit Only" written below the signature. The rejection information will be sent in an email to you with the code "back endorsement incomplete".
